Backyard Wedding Checklist
Want the Backyard Wedding Checklist:
PLANNING YOUR BACKYARD WEDDING
Hey Congratulations … YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED!
So instead of letting all the panic and stress get to you. Have your plan ready on where you want to place your money toward this event. Grab my quick Backyard Wedding Checklist here!
I have been officiating weddings since 2015, but I have been an organizer and planner of events since 1995. As an interior designer, it was a constant dance - furniture delivery dates, construction completion dates, timelines of tasks completed, colors that worked together and when the client wanted to move in. Planning weddings is not any different.
Plan in place and start checking things off….
My first suggestion is … IF you decide to do a backyard wedding … ask yourself and whoever’s backyard it is … how many guests will we have?
Then decide how parking will be handled if there is not enough street parking (aka you live in a cul-de-sac). Is there a public area nearby that people can park at and maybe be transported over?
When deciding the guest situation begin to ponder about bathrooms available. Do you need a mobile port-a-potty delivered (fancy potty company here)
Now you have the basic logistics down, let’s talk food! Don’t try to do it all yourself. Hire a caterer and let them treat you to a nice meal.
These are the main aspects to starting to plan your backyard wedding. You are saving cost on a venue.
Let your family enjoy as well and don’t make them set up and worry about different tasks.
Lastly, hire a professional photographer. These make for some great family photos to share and celebrate with others.
I want to make your day move smoothly. I even prefer to talk with all vendors and the couple before we arrive to the backyard, so we are all on the same page. Couples who have worked with me for there backyard wedding have always commented to me how organized I am and how surprised I know more about the organization and flow of the day.
That is why you hire a professional wedding officiant! #hireaprofessionalofficiant
Cheers and best wishes! Keep your family out of the day of set up and budget for someone to do all the day of stuff to keep you calm, cool and collected! I have great resources that I have personally worked with and I am more than happy to help Build Your Team for your Backyard Wedding!
